Magazine Shipment Policy

My Southern Tactical will not ship/sell items where prohibited by law. It is the responsibility of the consumer to ensure compliance with all state and local laws.

State Magazine Restrictions:

• California - 10 rounds
• Colorado - 15 rounds
• Connecticut - 10 rounds
• Delaware - 17 rounds
• Hawaii - 10 rounds
• Illinois - 10 rounds
• Maryland - 10 rounds
• Massachusetts - 10 rounds
• New Jersey - 10 rounds
• New York - 10 rounds
• Rhode Island - 10 rounds
• Vermont - 10 rounds
• Washington - 10 round magazines and no parts, i.e. dust covers

Important Export Restrictions:

Magazines and parts found on this site can only be shipped within the United States. Products are subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and cannot be exported out of the United States. It is the responsibility of the individual on the “Ship to” address to follow all federal export regulations.

• Is this item in stock?
  Everything on the site is made to order, meaning it is produced when you place your order. If marked in stock, then the base item for this in stock and will be customized to meet the requirements of your order within the handling time.
• Will this fit my gun?
  Depends on what gun you have! We cannot guarantee fitment of our products due to the wide range of variance in the firearm industry, and encourage you to do your own research. This being said, all of our base products are either mil-spec or Magpul base products. These products are made to fit mil-spec rifles.
• If I pay for faster shipping will this speed up my order?
  No. Selecting a faster shipping speed at checkout will only quicken the time in which it takes USPS to deliver your package, not the production time (handling time) needed to produce your item. Please see our Shipping and Handling page for current production times.
• What are 10-round and 15-round options for PMAGS?
  These options are for individuals residing in restricted states who need to meet magazine capacity restrictions. Note all of our magazines are full length magazines. If 10-round is selected, you will receive a full body magazine as shown on the listing, that is internally restricted to only allow 10 rounds to be loaded.
• What is the difference between Gen 3 and Gen 2 AK PMAGs?
  Magpul noticed certain areas of the Gen 2 AK PMAGs were prone to failure, so they reinforced them. Gen 3 AK PMAGs carry a steel skeleton and steel locking lug. However, we have never had issues from our Gen 2 mags and find them better for solving fitment issues on various AKs.
• If I select inside only or outside only Dust Cover what will the opposing side be?
  If inside only or outside only selection is made on a dust cover listing, then the opposing side will be left in the factory condition. For steel dust covers it is black anodized steel, and is black polymer for Magpul dust covers.
• How are these items produced? Laser? Cerakote? Magic?
  Items are produced using a hardened UV color ink. Image is professionally printed onto the item for a durable finish for years to come. Any image is possible; however, we are unable to print metallic inks.
• Are there limitations to what images we can use on design your own magazines?

• Do you ship rebuild kits? Ship to law enforcement exemptions?
  We only ship magazines that meet the customer’s state capacity restrictions direct to the customer. If you believe you're part of an exemption to the state law, we can ship the item to your local FFL for distribution to you.
